Nursing Home & Senior Performances

Skip has visited 4,000 senior centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and special care units in the past 30 years... He is always well received and connects in a sincere and loving way with elders of all backgrounds.

Seniors that have experienced Skip's performances express that they love him, his music, and have said that they look forward to his next visit. He is an adaptive performer combining music, stories and humor in a way that invokes memories and helps our elders celebrate life, family and community.

More than entertainment, Skip's programs touch all eight essential elements of good Senior programming. Through his songs and stories, his performances fill the intellectual, psychological, emotional, spiritual, occupational, inter-generational, special interests and community contact. He sings the old songs that elders joyously sing along with... His stories get the them to tell theirs, reminding them of days past and their younger selves... Each visit becomes a warm expanding experience for residents and staff alike.

What people have to say about Skip's Senior performances:

Skip has a deep concern for older adults.  He includes the seniors in his programs with songs, stories and humor they enjoy.  His musical ability touches everyone.  During one of his performances, a client who had not participated in a single activity in 4 months got up and danced and smiled.  We include Skip in our programming at least once a month.  We can’t recommend him highly enough.  Please don’t hesitate to call me if you’d like to know more about Skip’s performances”
